Our multi-talented staff support CCB laboratories in multiple ways, ensuring lab safety, shipping hazardous materials, managing finances and sponsored research, and complying with laws, policy, and best practices, all to enable faculty, students, and researchers to focus on what matters most: research and education.

Administration Leadership

Deana Reardon, Interim Executive Director, is responsible for the department’s communications and administration teams, including all aspects of operations and compliance.

 

Education and Training

Our education team assists faculty with course development and performance. We also advise and mentor undergraduate students through individual assignments, courses or the chemistry major.

Faculty & Academic Affairs

Our office supports faculty-driven initiatives and provides HR and logistical support to faculty, graduate students, and academic appointees.

We provide administrative support for https://chemistry.harvard.edu/calendar/upcoming, including seminars, annual department barbecues, faculty meetings, searches, and committees that support promotion and other vital departmental initiatives.

We also field questions concerning the academic appointment and reappointment process, visa sponsorship, payroll, taxes, maternal and paternal leave, and health and University benefits.
