The CCB EDIB Committee is pleased to announce the next session in the Postdoc Professional Development Series: "Exploring Careers at PUIs." This event will take place on Monday, March 17, and will feature a distinguished panel of experts sharing their insights on faculty careers at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs).
Event Details:
- Panel Discussion: 12:00–1:00 PM, Pfizer Lecture Hall
- Social Hour: 1:00–1:30 PM, Department Center
The panel discussion will focus on the unique aspects of faculty careers at PUIs, including:
- Faculty expectations and responsibilities
- Balancing teaching and research
- Navigating the faculty hiring process at PUIs
- Challenges and rewards of working in a PUI setting
This session will provide attendees with valuable perspectives on how careers at PUIs differ from those at R1 universities, and the qualities that make a competitive applicant for these positions.
Following the panel, attendees are invited to a networking session, which will provide an opportunity to engage with the panelists and peers in an informal setting.
