#  CCB Runs Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5K Race

Sunday, March 10 was a great day for CCB running! Students, postdocs, faculty and staff including CCB Director Allen Aloise all took part in the annual Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5K race. Competition among CCB labs was fierce this year with several groups coming close in their combined top scores, but the Myers team had the luck of the Irish, placing the highest for top scores and for team participation with an impressive 10 runners. The Aizenberg team was next with 9 runners plus an 18-month-old associate member.

Out of a field of 4434 runners, Alec Chapman of the Xie group finished first for CCB and sixteenth overall with a time of 17:31, and Jamie Bemis of the Myers team was the top CCB female, coming in 151st with a time of 20:55. The top ten CCB finishers include FOUR members of the dominating, fleet-of-foot Myers team: in order Derek Barton, Ian Seiple, Daniel Smaltz, and Jamie Bemis. Congratulations to ALL of you who ran to enjoy the fun, participate in some friendly competition and get some great exercise!
