 

#  Constance Kraay wins Undergraduate Poster Award Competition

 CCB undergraduate Constance Kraay, a member of the Shakhnovich Lab, is one of the 6 winners of the annual Undergraduate Poster Award Competition (UPAC), who recognized at the 67th Biophysical Society Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony on February 20, 2023. After two rounds of judging, judges from every career level selected these students for their outstanding presentations during the poster competition. Sixty-two students participated in the competition.

 Kraay won for “Investigating the Mechanism of Suppression of Human γD-Crystallin Aggregation by Myo-Inositol.”

 The Biophysical Society, founded in 1958, is a professional, scientific Society established to lead the development and dissemination of knowledge in biophysics. The Society promotes growth in this expanding field through its annual meeting, publications, and committee and outreach activities. Its 7,500 members are located throughout the United States and the world, where they teach and conduct research in colleges, universities, laboratories, government agencies, and industry.
