Winners of the first annual CCB Fall Bakeoff, held on November 5th in the Department Center, are the Purple Yam Mousse Cake from Shao-Liang Zheng, Manager of X-Ray Crystallography, and Cream Puffs from Pam Tadross, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Jacobsen Group, in the Large Desserts and Small Desserts categories, respectively. Their offerings are shown below. Runners-up are the Triple Chocolate Tart from Pam Tadross, and Baklava from first-year graduate student Brian Malbrecht. Competition was stiff, voters were very, very discriminating and happy nonetheless, and we look forward to even more entries next year!
