ongratulations to Joe Lavin, our Finance and Academic Administrator and prime mover in implementing the new CCB website, who has been named a recipient of the Dean's Distinction Award for 2014! These awards are given across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to individuals and teams whose contributions have made an exceptionally positive impact on the FAS over the previous year. In Dean Michael Smith's words, "this year's recipients made remarkable contributions in the areas of student life, faculty support, and digital communications. They managed our academic programs, conserved energy in our buildings, strengthened the ties between departments and centers, and provided extraordinary financial, administrative, and technical support to many important FAS initiatives and constituencies." Joe will be honored at a reception in University Hall on March 6th.
