#  New Assistant Professor Ni Joins CCB in July

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kang-Kuen Ni will joining our department this summer as an Assistant Professor. She is a leading scientist in the area of ultra-cold molecular chemistry, with new experimental methods devised to synthesize and study molecules at extraordinarily low temperatures (ca. one ten millionth of a degree above absolute zero!). In Dr. Ni’s experiments, every quantum state of a chosen molecule (translation, vibration, rotation, electron spin, and nuclear spin) may be determined precisely. This provides unprecedented opportunities for elucidating fundamental details of reaction chemistry.
