#  Park Group Collaboration Creates Nanothermometer

Working with colleagues in the Physics Department, the Park group has developed a new tool for thermal sensing in living cells by exploiting the ground-state energy gap in the nitrogen vacancy centers found in some diamonds, as reported in [Nature News](http://www.nature.com/news/nanothermometer-takes-the-temperature-of-living-cells-1.13473).
