#### The grant honors junior scholars with an outstanding independent body of scholarship, who are deeply committed to education

The [Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation](http://www.dreyfus.org/forum/2018-camille-dreyfus-teacher-scholar-awards/) has announced their 2018 Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars for 2018. The thirteen young faculty represent a broad range of contemporary research in the chemical sciences; [Professor Kang-Kuen Ni](https://faculty.chemistry.harvard.edu/kni/home) won for her work in ultracold molecules for chemistry and physics.

But Ni's recent innovations go beyond the lab. She designed a new curriculum for undergraduates to access the complicated subject of quantum chemistry. And, she demonstrates a strong commitment to mentorship and K-12 outreach, opening her lab to provide hands-on experience for the next generation of chemists.

A Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award is a well-deserved affirmation of Ni's efforts to accelerate research and education in chemistry.
