Harvard's SciPol Club has launched the **Science Policy Research and Advocacy Group** (SPRAG). It will be a yearlong series of weekly workshops, roundtable discussions and invited talks where students will work in teams to research and write a policy proposal. The group's ambition is to pitch their proposals to federal lawmakers on an advocacy visit to Washington, DC in the spring. Following their Oct. 19th kickoff event with guest speaker Congressman Rodney Davis, they look forward to a year full of insightful workshops, thought-provoking discussions and impactful policy advocacy. **"It's not too late to join this yearlong initiative** and benefit from the advice and mentorship of expert speakers and workshop leaders as you work in teams to research and write a policy proposal, with the possibility of pitching it to federal lawmakers on an **advocacy visit to Washington, DC** in the spring. Join forces with students from other universities across the northeast as part of our newly created Science Policy Consortium to advocate collectively."
