“ Dr. Sirinya Matchacheep has gone above and beyond in teaching introductory organic chemistry, Chem 17 and Chem 27, arguably some of the most important and largest classes our department offers at Harvard College. She has demonstrated an extraordinary level of compassion and dedication to her students and colleagues alike, in not only meticulously thinking about course material and instruction but in creating a fun, inclusive, and rewarding environment to learn organic chemistry. Importantly, she selflessly goes out of her way to make sincere and meaningful connections with her students, which makes them feel valued and heard as they encounter some of the hardest, yet in many cases rewarding classes they'll take at Harvard. This prestigious and well-deserved honor for Sirinya recognizes a role model and leader for teaching science at Harvard. “- Professor Brian Liau
