#  Sustainability Grant Awarded for Web-Based Lab Monitoring Aids

A project entitled “Greening Laboratories using Wi-Fi Connected Tools” by [Whitesides group](http://gmwgroup.harvard.edu/) postdoc Alok Tayi and Harvard senior Daniel Kramer has been awarded a Student Sustainability Grant for the 2014-15 academic year, and its progress is described in a blog the two have written on the [Harvard Sustainability ](http://green.harvard.edu/news/idea-greening-labs)website. Their initial goals include fashioning web-based switches to turn lights and small equipment on and off.
