Tom Kempa wins a IUPAC Prize for Young Chemists
Former graduate student (Lieber Group) and now postdoc (Nocera Group) Tom Kempa is the only American to win one of this year's IUPAC Prizes for Young Chemists. The IUPAC prizes are awarded for the best PhD theses in the chemical sciences, as described in 1000-word essays submitted by the authors. Tom will receive a cash award and travel expenses to attend the IUPAC World Chemistry Congress in August in Istanbul, where he will speak about his thesis research.
