Welcome to Professor [Jack Szostak](http://molbio.mgh.harvard.edu/szostakweb/index.html), the newest member of the CCB faculty! He is also a member of the Department of Molecular Biology and Center for Computational and Integrative Biology, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator. His research is focused on the origin, early evolution and laboratory synthesis of life, and the in vitro directed evolution of functional biopolymers.
