Developing selective catalysts for concentration CO₂ reduction

without concomitant hydrogen evolution is a challenge. I will discuss our thermodynamic

and kinetic strategies for suppressing the hydrogen evolution reaction under reductive

conditions. I will also discuss our work in developing oxygen-stable systems for

electrochemical CO₂ capture and concentration using secondary hydrogenbonding

interactions. Lastly, I will discuss our work on integrating CO₂ capture and

conversion into catalytic systems that can take dilute streams of CO₂ directly into

	products.
