Matthew Lueckheide

Matt grew up in Valley Stream, NY on Long Island. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY in 2017 and his Ph.D in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry at Brown University in 2022. His doctoral work primarily involved kinetic and mechanistic studies of rare-earth metal-assisted reduction of dioxygen to selectively produce novel metal peroxides or hydrogen peroxide. During his time at Brown, Matt was awarded the W.T. King Prize for Outstanding Teaching Assistant, Elaine B. Chase Award for Service and Leadership, and a 2022 Deans’ Faculty Fellowship. After completing his doctorate, Matt remained at Brown as a visiting lecturer, teaching general, organic and inorganic chemistry courses before joining CCB.
