 Shao-Liang Zheng joined Harvard in 2009 and supervises all aspects of [X-ray Core](https://chemistry.harvard.edu/pages/x-ray-laboratory). Dr. Zheng also teaches [Chem 255, Practical Crystallography in Chemistry and Materials Science](https://chemistry.harvard.edu/pages/x-ray-laboratory#education) in spring term. Before he joined Harvard, he worked with Professor Philip Coppens at SUNY Buffalo as a research scientist, emphasizing photocrystallographic studies of host-guest crystals. He received his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 2003 at Sun Yat-Sen University (China).
