Tia Hira

Associate Director of HR

Prior to joining CCB, Tia served as the Senior Program Coordinator in the Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics as well as the EDIB Committee Liaison for the Department of Epidemiology and the Office of DEI at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Before her time at Harvard, she worked in the Office of Foundation Relations at MIT, and at a business law firm in downtown Boston. Tia has 13+ years of professional work experience in both the corporate and non-profit sector and has spent most of her career working in the Higher Education space. Over the years she has also worked on several consulting projects and has become increasingly passionate about employee well-being in the workplace, organizational culture transformation, gender equity, women’s empowerment, driving sustainable behavior change in the EDIB space and building equity-based mindsets within organizations.

 

Tia earned her bachelor’s degree in English at the Royal Holloway University of London and is currently pursuing her Ed.M. in Education Leadership, Organizations and Entrepreneurship at Harvard University. She was also selected as a 2023-2024 Harvard Graduate School of Education Equity and Inclusion Fellow. As an Equity and Inclusion Fellow, she hopes to expand her individual capacity for fostering structural transformation. She also hopes to help organizations shift their practices to be more culturally responsive and will actively engage in helping facilitate dialogue across differences within Harvard University and other organizations.
